Essential Needs for a Role of Natural Healing of the Care Workers

Abstract
The purpose of this study is to investigate the level of job satisfaction amongst elderly care workers, the factors affecting the role of natural healing, and effective management of human resources to find out the practical plan and alternative for both elderly care workers and recipients to be naturally healed. 337 elderly care workers working at Changwon-si (city) were collected to participate in the survey. SPSS 18.0 statistical program was used to analyze the data collected from the survey. First, the level of job satisfaction amongst elderly care workers was shown to be associated with their level of knowledge on the natural healing. The correlation between the level of job satisfaction and the knowledge of constancy was significant; however, the level of job satisfaction and psychological stability were negatively correlated. A positive correlation was found between the level of job satisfaction and the knowledge of natural healing, whereas a negative correlation was found between the level of job satisfaction and the knowledge of a life cycle. Second, a strong positive correlation was found between the facility satisfaction and elderly care workers¡¯ knowledge of natural healing. Also the knowledge of constancy was shown to be strongly associated with the knowledge of natural healing and life cycle. Third, the level of knowledge as to natural healing amongst elderly care workers is considered to be a matter of great importance to enhance the role of natural healing of the elderly care workers. Fourth, the facility satisfaction was shown to be statically correlated with 3 categories for the knowledge of natural healing. And this facility satisfaction is considered to be highly influential to job satisfaction variables and the development of knowledge of natural healing. Fifth, individual efforts of care workers to improve their level of job satisfaction are important on a level to enhance the role by nurturing the knowledge of natural healing; however, the efforts for facility improvement, such as the modernization and cutting edge of elderly care facilities are found to be more important. Sixth, the policies on leisure of the aged, which should be vitalized to the most, are shown to be social security service policy, medical facility expansion policy and physical function improvement; and also the needs of natural healing facility is shown to be significant. In conclusion, it was reported that the respondents considering the quality of senior care facility a top priority are definitely recognizing the needs of natural healing facility. Therefore, it is highly considered that the expansion of natural healing facility would be a core precondition to improve the quality of senior care facility in the future.
